I enjoy reading blogs. I have my favorites, but I haven’t attempted to blog myself, yet. If I did, and my blog was about real estate, I would call it “For Adults Only: Buying and Selling in the Real Estate World”. I love helping folks realize their real estate dreams. Whether it is buying their first home, selling a home they built and lived in for many years, selling an estate or farm, or a commercial piece of property that doesn’t fit into their business portfolio anymore, I have worked hard for my clients. At this point in my career I am beginning to realize the repeat business that shows my clients were pleased with my past work. It is very gratifying. I am a number cruncher with a degree in agricultural economics from Purdue University. I think like a CFO (Chief Financial Officer) or so I discovered when I took my final finance class. It was my professor’s objective to teach us to think like a CFO. As I listened to him explain what that meant, all I could think was, “Doesn’t everyone think like this?” The answer, of course, is no! But when you are working with a big decision like selling or buying real estate, you do need an advocate who can problem solve i.e... think like a CFO. There will be many decisions to make-pricing, staging, marketing, qualifying buyers, and many more. And if you are trying to buy at some point you will have to “pull the trigger”(No, you can’t keep looking at properties forever). Yes, buying and selling real estate is for “adults only”, and it requires the expertise of a real estate professional to get you the results you want. I can help, and we can have some fun in the process.
